Altair also announced that the publication was recently awarded the 2005 APEX Award for Publication Excellence, in a competition sponsored by the editors of Writing That Works: The Business Communications Report.
This is the third year in a row that C2R has received an APEX award. The annual competition is in its seventeenth year and drew close to 5,000 entries from business writers, editors, publication staffs, and commercial and non-profit communicators. There were more than 750 entrants in the Custom-Published Magazines and Journals category who were evaluated on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness.
"We are very pleased that Concept to Reality has been recognized for excellence again," said Altair Vice President of Corporate Marketing Michael J. Kidder. Concept to Reality targets upper-level managers and executives who want to improve their product development process. Prepared by a team of editors and subject-matter experts, the magazine offers information on innovative product strategy, design development, process automation and commercial technology. Material includes business solutions discussed by independent third-party experts, as well as by Altair engineers.
The Summer 2005 issue focuses on how technology plays an important role in transforming new ideas into innovative products. Featured articles include:
